I was a little piqued when I saw Lisa Raitt’s tweet (stream is protected) earlier today that she was going to live tweet Question Period. I thought I might hear, y’know, something substantive and interesting. Something that would make me think, hey, maybe there is someone on the benches in the House of Commons who would use Twitter in a way for not attacking the opposition, but engage the public and bring them into the daily Parliamentary conversation. I was wrong (and very blocked now that she realizes I can read her banal tweets). And the Canadian Press (by way of the Hamilton Spectator) has picked up on this as well.
